Cardiologist
A specialist in Cardiology. A graduate of General Medicine from the Autonomous University of Baja California who specialized in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology from the National Medical Center ISSSTE in Mexico City. He is Certified by the Mexican Council of Cardiology and by the Society of Interventional Cardiology of Mexico.
Having a cardiac evaluation for each patient who is undergoing surgery is vital, due to the underlying risk that exists regarding the patient’s condition and the surgical procedure to be performed.
The protocol includes performing an electrocardiogram that allows us to learn more about the overall function of the heart and gives us invaluable information to be able to have a safer procedure. In addition to measuring the patient’s vital signs, the cardiologist will be able to authorize and sign off on the patient’s ability to be a good candidate for the procedure.
You can research them in the cenatra (national transplant center) records, and also in clear hospital records. I have performed many living donor kidney transplants at the hospital of the Mexican Social Security Institute, in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico and more than 50 transplants at the “First of October” hospital of ISSSTE (1st of October, Institute of Security and social service of state workers) in Mexico City, those carried out during the medical residency in transplants in Mexico City that lasted two years.

A certified Medical General Practitioner that graduated from the Autonomous University of Baja California, with more than 5 years of experience in the clinical management of bariatric patients. Together with Dr. Fredy Lopez, Dr. Miguel oversees all patients before and after surgery, to ensure that all patient needs are met. With this level of detail and dedication we can detect and intervene at the earliest possible moment to prevent any complications to our patients.
Dr. Hugo Velázquez
Anesthesiologist
A specialist in anesthesiology. He graduated from Xochicalco University as a Surgeon, he specialized at the Regional General Hospital No. 1/The High Specialty Medical Unit Specialty Hospital No. 2 “Luis Donaldo Colosio Murrieta”, of IMSS in Sonora. Certified by the Mexican Council of Anesthesiology, member of the College of Anesthesiology of Tijuana BC. He currently works in Hemodynamics assisting the cardiology and cardiac surgery department of the Regional General Hospital 1 IMSS. He is qualified to care for bariatric patients. He speaks 3 languages Spanish, English, and Portuguese. He is known for his dedication to his patients, kindness, sense of humor and excellent taste in music, making him an indispensable team member.

She has over 10 years of experience caring for bariatric patients and is a formidable member of our medical team.
